Second obit:
MAY.--Cordella, wife of J. W. May, daughter of James Wright, departed this life on July 12, 1913, after five days of awful suffering with blood poison. All that could be done by mortals failed; she had to go. Our sister was born September 23, 1870, which made her stay on earth forty-three years. On August 26, 1885, she was married to J. W. May, with whom she lived in peace and love till her death. Five children were given them, four girls and one boy. All of them are Christians, but we weep not for her without hope. Twenty-two years ago at Whitson, Texas she was born into the family of God under the preaching of P. J. Taylor. In her death, the writer lost one of his best friends, neighborhood a good neighbor. The church sustained her loss. But what about husband and childrens' loss? Dark will be your days without a sweet voice and loving presents. Mays we all see her again over there where death is a stranger and love never ends.
