- Elaine M. (Babin) Mangone, of Medford, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 16th. She was 84. Born and raised in Malden, she was the cherished daughter of the late Adolf and Emma (Pothier) Babin.
Elaine loved to travel, whether by boat, plane or train. She was able to experience many different continents, cultures and adventures with her late husband Frederick and her sister Betty. When she was not traveling, Elaine enjoyed watching her favorite western movies, ice skating and spending time in the stable taking care of the horses.
Elaine was the beloved wife of the late Frederick L. Mangone, Jr. She was the devoted mother of Paul Mangone and his wife Kimberly of Tewksbury, and Sharon Kulas and her husband Bob of Hudson, NH. She was the loving grandma of Kristi Cozza, Aimee Cozza and her partner Pat, and Jason Cozza and his wife Samantha. She was the great grandma of Cassandra Cozza. She was the dear sister of Betty Murphy of Medford, Donald Babin and his wife Judy of Saugus, and the late Barbara Wilson. She was the caring godmother of Patricia Babin and the special friend of Patricia Casiello. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
